1. Who we are

SABLE is committed to protecting your privacy and to providing as secure a user experience as practicable. This privacy policy explains our collection, use and disclosure practices for information sent to SABLE via or in connection with your use of the SABLE software and solutions ("the Software") and any associated support and maintenance services. If our public website https://www.sable.co.za (the "Website") is accessed or used in connection with your use of the Software or its support and maintenance, use of the Website is also governed by this policy.

 

In this policy: (i) "Personal Information" means information that identifies you as an individual or that relates to an identifiable person; and (ii) "Other Information" means all information that is not Personal Information. Personal Information and Other Information are collectively referred to as "information".

 

By accessing the Website, using the Software or by submitting information to SABLE in connection with your use of the Software or the support and maintenance of the Software, you consent to the terms of this policy.

 

SABLE is a product and brand of Datamine Africa (Pty) Ltd, a member of the Datamine group of companies. which Datamine entity is the data controller for SABLE - Datamine Africa (Pty) Ltd, or Datamine Corporate Limited (UK) as with the main Datamine policy That entity, and any member of its group of companies that collects or receives information pursuant to this policy, is bound by and is entitled to the benefit of this policy.

 

2. What information is or may be collected?

The following information may be collected by SABLE:


Information necessary to verify the integrity of the Software and the validity of licences.
Information used to improve the quality, reliability and performance of the Software and related services.
Account or payment information necessary for a transaction or to set you or your organisation up in our systems, or to administer support and maintenance or licence entitlements tracking.
Contact form information — when you submit an enquiry through our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the content of your message.
Other Information such as browser, network and device information, Software usage data, and information collected through cookies, pixel tags and other technologies — see Section 4 below.

 

3. How is the information used?

We use the information collected to provide, maintain and improve the Software and Website, to respond to enquiries, to administer support and licensing, to communicate with you about products and services you've asked about, and to meet legal or regulatory obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

 

4. Sharing of information and disclosure to third parties

Because SABLE is part of the Datamine group, information you provide may be shared amongst and used by Datamine Africa (Pty) Ltd, Datamine Corporate Limited, or any member of the Datamine group of companies worldwide, so the right team can respond to you. To the extent these entities have access to your Personal Information, they follow privacy practices no less protective than those described in this policy.

We may disclose information to law enforcement or regulatory authorities as required by law, or to trusted service providers (e.g. website hosting, analytics) who are contractually bound to only process it on our instructions.

We may store and process information in countries outside your own, including where Datamine group entities or our service providers operate.
