Alan Goldsmith, Senior Geologist of Horizon Geomatics and consultant to Datamine SABLE® recently completed the SABLE® Store IT Introductory Training Course with 14 shaft geologists who act as Data Loggers within the SABLE® Application.
It was all smiles from the group of Shaft Geologists from the Sibanye Platinum Mine.
The training took place over two, two-day sessions held at the OSD Engineering Offices on the Sibanye Platinum Mine Property near Rustenburg.
The sessions aimed to empower the users of the software to take ownership of their data and ensure the data remains of the highest integrity by managing their Data Standard, as is a principal of SABLE®.
"It’s important to start the geologists on the right path to high quality data so that they’re able to have confidence in decisions made based on this data," said Goldsmith.
Topics covered include connecting to the SABLE® Database, managing the Data Standard, Data Validation, facilities and tools for data capture, navigating the Data Explorer, locating and querying data as well as reporting data using SABLE® View.
