Introductory Training (1 day)

A short course used to introduce new users to the SABLE methodology and software. It is typically based around a client’s particular needs and project setup. Focused on data capture, validation and reporting.

Advanced Training (3 day)

A wide-ranging course covering all aspects of SABLE functionality and data management processes. Aimed at users who have some SABLE experience and are moving into a position where they need to take responsibility for a site’s data management. Participants are required to have been on an introductory course first. Topics include: Configuring a Database; Database Administration; Data Collection Methods; Merging Databases; Configuring Calc Log functions.

SableView Report Design (1 day)

An add-on day to the Data Manager’s training course for participants who are interested in defining their own scaled graphical reports. A highly interactive course, trainees learn about the different components of a SableView report and how to combine them to produce powerful informative graphical plots.

SQL for SABLE (2 day)

An advanced course for data managers who wish to learn more about Structured Query Language, used for interrogating a database and extracting information. Also includes some advanced database management concepts for understanding the maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server.

Super User Development Programme

A customised intensive course intended to fast-track SABLE practitioners to become effective super-users. Comprised of two week-long modules and practical work-based assignments.Topics include Data Migration of external data sets, Validation and due diligence, Sample and assay handling (including QA/QC), RDBMS administration.
